This is a Japanese woodblock “jigsaw” print and which the block was carved and then cut on a scroll saw to allow different placement of the pieces when printing. The print itself is the Japanese character for “Heart” broken into pieces.

It is a one of a kind work.

The colored overlay was done with bleeding tissue as a collage. It was glued then wetted down to effet the bleed.
