Bodhidharma is considered the First Patriarch of Zen Buddhism. He was said to have meditated for nine years facing a wall in his cave near the Shaolin Monastery. He is often depicted with a fierce aspect.

The design for this came from a monochrome print by Glenn Bluestone given to me back in the 70s. I reworked it a bit to create this design. It is a multi block lino cut print which means I can print more as required. That is reflected in the price.
